“Society is stronger because of charity fundraising and the work of the Institute of Fundraising”, said Susan Elan Jones MP at an event she hosted in Parliament today to mark the work of the Institute of Fundraising.
The Clwyd South MP, who co-chairs the All Party Parliamentary Group for Charities and Volunteering, made particular reference to the training that the Institute of Fundraising provides for more than 6,000 charity fundraisers across the UK.
“When I worked for charities, I trained with the Institute of Fundraising and I know how much this professional body does to support fundraisers through leadership and representation; best practice and compliance; and education and networking, said the MP. “The Institute of Fundraising now has more than 575 organisational charity members who raise more than £9 billion in income for good causes every year. Training is vital to their work and the money that they raise. I am delighted to offer my support.”
