Today (Tues 30 Oct) in Westminster, Susan Elan Jones MP chaired a policy event for the Westminster Policy Forum.
The prestigious forum is well-known for bringing together leading practitioners and policy makers in different subject areas.
The event that the Clwyd South Labour MP chaired was on the subject of ‘The future for charity fundraising: finance, data and priorities for the Fundraising Regulator’. Other speakers included the Chief Executive of the Fundraising Regulator, Gerald Oppenheim; and representatives of the Institute of Fundraising and YouGov.
Speaking at the policy forum, Susan Elan Jones MP said: “Trust is vital for charities. Charities should not lose sight of the fact that overall they have a very good name. We should never lose sight of all the positive work that charities do and charities should not be frightened of arguing their corner as they communicate with the public about their work.”
