Susan Elan Jones MP has met with Mondelez Research and Development staff in Parliament.
The company now own Cadbury’s – including the long-standing cocoa bean processing factory in Chirk in the MP’s Clwyd South constituency.
Susan Elan Jones MP said:
“The Cadbury’s Chirk factory is world-famous for its role as a cocoa bean processing plant and manufacturer of cocoa. As the local MP, I have been privileged to visit the plant on a number of occasions. It is a very important employer in our area.
“I am always pleased to meet in Parliament with representatives of companies that are linked to our area. Mondelez has a top quality Research and Development team of scientists and I think the company deserves praise for the excellent apprenticeships it provides for young people entering the world of work. The company’s efforts in bringing high quality but lower-sugar products onto the market are also important. It was good to discuss these and other issues during my meeting with Mondelez Research and Development staff.”
